Interpreting for business
In an ever-more globalized world, it is vital for your company to be able to communicate across languages and cultures. Holding a meeting with various nationalities can be problematic if not all those attending share the same language. This is where interpreters come in. They can ensure that the meeting goes like clockwork and that every delegate receives the same information and has the same opportunity to ask questions.
For very large conferences, simultaneous interpreting would probably be the preferred method, although the correct equipment is essential and it may be quite costly. For smaller meetings, 'chuchotage' is the better solution. This is a kind of simultaneous, but the interpreter sits behind the delegates and speaks quietly into their ears. Chuchotage is the French word for whispering, but the interpreter is not advised to actually whisper, as it is extremely bad for the throat. Normally the interpreter only speaks to one or two delegates, as otherwise he/she has to speak more loudly and risks disturbing other delegates or being unable to hear the original speech.
Each interpreter must be highly skilled in the source and target languages, as well as possessing a detailed knowledge of all the relevant concepts and terminology. They must also be organized, discreet and professional at all times to ensure a successful meeting.
All of Linguaset's business interpreters are fully qualified and experienced. They will always understand the occupational context of your meeting, and communicate your message clearly, leaving your clients with an excellent impression of your business.
